Grow with confidence

Small gestures that develop great learning

The first years of life are an exceptional period for brain development. Everyday experiences gradually shape language, curiosity, self-confidence, and social skills. While some pedagogical approaches such as pikler, montessori, reggio emilia, or bilingualism are now widely recognized, they are ultimately based on a simple idea: the child learns above all by experimenting, observing and being an actor in his or her own discoveries.

At kidscare, these different approaches complement each other to offer a stimulating environment, where each child evolves at his or her own pace, accompanied with kindness.

Pikler pedagogy from nursery onwards

From the first months of life, the pikler pedagogy accompanies the child in his or her development by placing respect for his or her rhythm, skills and individual needs at the heart of the support. It is based on three main principles: a relationship of trust with the adult, free motor skills and the importance of moments of care as real times of exchange and relationship.

At kidscare, the pikler pedagogy is put into practice from the nursery onwards in order to offer toddlers a safe environment adapted to their needs. The professionals observe each child carefully, respect their rhythm and accompany them without doing for them, so that they can gradually discover their own abilities.

Through free motor skills, the child is encouraged to explore his body and environment with confidence. Care times, meals, moments of awakening and daily interactions become opportunities to build a secure relationship and to promote their development, autonomy and pleasure in learning from the first months.

Promoting autonomy in everyday life

Inspired by the montessori pedagogy, our kidscare nurseries offer an environment adapted to the size and abilities of children. The equipment is accessible and the activities encourage them to do on their own what they are capable of achieving. Some of the activities on offer encourage children to do what they are capable of doing on their own. Putting away their belongings, serving their water, participating in the meal, participating in their change, choosing an activity or taking care of their environment are all opportunities to gradually develop their autonomy, concentration and self-confidence. »

At home, too, a few simple habits can make a difference: giving your child more time to put on their coat, set the table or participate in small daily tasks gradually increases their self-confidence.

Learning by exploring

The reggio emilia pedagogy considers the child as a true researcher, the child is the actor of his learning. In the nursery, the educators observe their interests and then create experiences that feed their curiosity: light effects, artistic creations, natural elements, constructions or sensory experiences. Exploration, creativity, sensory experiences and contact with nature are important, allowing each child to learn by experimenting.

Families can extend this approach without specific equipment. A walk in the forest, a box full of natural objects to handle or simply a discussion around the child's questions become opportunities to learn together.

Bilingualism through emotions

In education, a bilingual pedagogical approach is  when one or two languages are used as languages of instruction to promote learning

Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to speak several languages perfectly to provide an environment conducive to bilingualism. The earlier a language is heard naturally, the more the brain develops its ability to distinguish sounds, enrich its vocabulary and switch from one language to another.

In our kidscare nurseries, english-speaking professionals interact with children every day in authentic situations: during games, meals, songs or daily routines. The goal is not to teach english as in school, but to allow it to be acquired in a natural and positive way without learning pressure.

At home, listening to nursery rhymes, reading a few stories or integrating a few simple expressions into everyday life already allows the child to familiarize yourself with an additional language.

Growing together

Beyond the methods, all these approaches pursue the same objective: to support each child in the development of his curiosity, his confidence and his pleasure in learning.

Early childhood professionals and families play a complementary role. When the experiences lived at the nursery are echoed at home, the child evolves in a coherent environment that fully promotes his développement.
