KidsCare Villars-sur-Glâne has been operating in the region since 2014, offering family childcare for children from 3 months up to school age. The daycare welcomes up to 70 children from Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 6.30pm in a bilingual English-French structure.
Located in the Centre Cormanon, close to the city’s entertainment, the daycare is open every day of the year except for official public holidays in the canton of Fribourg, as well as 2 weeks between Christmas and New Year.
From an early age, a multicultural team looks after the health and well-being of the children in a setting designed to ensure their comfort and safety. A pedagogy that encourages autonomy and development from early childhood (Pikler, baby sign language, Montessori, Born to read, etc.) allows each child to develop at his or her own pace.
A private outdoor garden is accessible and fully equipped according to the children's needs. Many excursions in and around the region allow older children to discover the world around them.

The KidsCare childcare is located in the heart of the municipality of Villars-sur-Glâne, near the cities of Fribourg and Marly in the canton of Fribourg. Ideally located in the city centre of Villars-sur-Glâne, our daycare is close to shops, schools, public transport and after-school care.

Who works at the Villars-sur-Glâne daycare?

A multi-disciplinary team (ASE, Educators and Auxiliaries) with a passion for early childhood looks after the health and well-being of young children in a setting designed to ensure their comfort and safety. Working closely with families, they support children's developmental stages and respect their individual learning pace.
The bilingual environment allows each child to be open-minded. Each educator speaks only one language with the children, so that habits are established from an early age.

What pedagogical methods are used in the Villars-sur-Glâne daycare?

Our education system and our childcare network are based on several types of pedagogy, all founded on respect for children and their development: baby sign language, Rikiko, Born to Read, carrying and Montessori. This is also the case in our other childcare facilities.
In a warm, modern setting, the youngest children are given free motor skills, so that they can discover their daycare environment at their own pace and according to their own wishes. Our pedagogical methods are an essential factor to the development of children and young people.
The learning process in not done as it would be for pupils at school but through games and workshops. This enables children to gain confidence, independence, social skills, fine motor skills and creativity.
