What activities are offered in daycare?

In all our nurseries, outdoor activities take place at least once a day. During these moments, children discover the world and their surroundings while respecting their individual pace and needs.

Each of our facilities provides children with a safe and playful outdoor area, whether it is a garden or a terrace. As children become more independent in their movements, walks are done on foot, allowing them to explore the neighborhood and surrounding areas, the shores of Lake Geneva, forests, or playgrounds depending on the geographical setting.

How do children go out from the nursery?
In the baby nursery, infants go on stroller walks, while older babies are gradually introduced to walking. In the toddler groups, children walk together using a walking rope and enjoy short outings. In the preschool groups, children walk hand in hand in pairs.

Some outings are done using public transportation, giving children the opportunity to learn additional safety rules. Educators may also take them to museums, the zoo, or the library.

Outdoor activities primarily meet children’s physical needs by helping them discover weather conditions and the changing seasons, while also supporting exploration, learning, and both motor and cognitive development.

Our nurseries organize a variety of activities to support children’s development, including creative workshops, music, motor skills activities, sensory play, and environmental discovery.
